my proposal-pre production

My film proposal Film synopsis: My aim for this project is to make, almost a documentary of my experience through my pregnancy. This will include very emotional situations very personal to me. The dialogue will only be a voice over of me, explaining the situations which will be shown on the video. I have an idea to put music very low in the background so it is not completely my voice, this will also help develop sympathy and emotions over what they are witnessing throughout the video. The music will help set the mood that I aim to create. The point of this is to let people into my life and understand the struggles and problems girls face with young pregnancies. In addition to this I want this to result in any girl who is facing these problems to know, they are not alone, and there is so many worse things that could’ve happened to them and that it not the end of the world. today i set myself a target to re create my magazine cover due to the loss of my original one. i had difficulty to find the photo but then eventually found it and began to create my front cover. it is not yet complete but i have managed to re create the main things that i need to make my cover affective. now it is just the car of adding little bits on to make it more professional. i used a image of a lighting bolt and removed the background to place it onto my front cover, this particular part was very time consuming. i changed my idea to the front cover to make it more appealing to my particular audience     today i continued to make further progress on my magazine, this was done by experimenting with the colour fonts used on the cover photo. i wanted a color that really stood out from the rest of the magazine. i used red as it was inspired by kerning magazines iconic front page.  i then went on to finishing the front cover and added a bottom banner to show my...

psycho shower scene (1960)sound analysis

Psycho (1960) shower scene.  Sound techniques Before the woman gets into the shower there is diegetic sounds, such as her footsteps and the shower curtain, but it’s quite peaceful, however this creates an on edge atmosphere, then the peace fades and there is a use of non-diegetic music that slowly builds up to eerie slow pace music which benefits the film as it builds up the climax, creating an edgy and uneasy feeling for the viewers. After the music stops and there is parallel sounding, the shower turns on and we can here the shower, it Is in sync to the image also. This shifts the eerie atmosphere to a more relaxed one and breaks down the climax. As soon as the curtain is pulled, there is high pitched non diegetic music, played once again, this time much louder and faster. This is to help create a shocked fearful impact on the viewers.
