today i set myself a target to re create my magazine cover due to the loss of my original one. i had difficulty to find the photo but then eventually found it and began to create my front cover. it is not yet complete but i have managed to re create the main things that i need to make my cover affective. now it is just the car of adding little bits on to make it more professional.

i used a image of a lighting bolt and removed the background to place it onto my front cover, this particular part was very time consuming.

i changed my idea to the front cover to make it more appealing to my particular audience

today i continued to make further progress on my magazine, this was done by experimenting with the colour fonts used on the cover photo. i wanted a color that really stood out from the rest of the magazine. i used red as it was inspired by kerning magazines iconic front page.  i then went on to finishing the front cover and added a bottom banner to show my audience that there is much more information inside about loads different bands.

after this, i started to create my double page spread which is linked to the dominant image on my front cover. i want the color scheme to be the same as the front cover to get a constant flow and to link to the genre of the music. in my case this was , black, grey, white and red. i went on to further develop my double page spread y experimenting with images that i will be using to make my background for the article.

when creating my double page spread, i wanted it to have a professional structure. i chose to do this particular subject totally out of respect to the band due to the loss of tom, a member of the band who sadly passed away . his brother is also a member of the band so id undoubtedly affected him , potentially the worst. i aimed to mention this and really highlight that. this album was said to be "for tom" so i wanted that to be mentioned on my double page spread.

16/01/19-- i started to tweet my double page spread as i thought the article was longer enough , and didn't go into much detail as i would've liked so i changed the interview and also added , almost an advert, to sponsor their march and new album .i added a website name so my audience new where to go to shop for their merchandise or any other bands. this could also be seen as a sponsorship with Impericon, as it is an actual band merchandise website.

17/01/19--

today i decided to change my color scheme of both my front cover and my double page spread. this was due to the fact i didn't really think the red worked well with the background of the magazine. as a result of this, i started to experiment with different colors that i could potentially use in my color scheme. i went for a vivid yellow as shown below. this was due to the fact it was very eye-catching, and it drastically stands out from the background. which is what my aim originally was.  yellow, is an unusal colour , its not exactly common for font colors- this links to how some of the genres of music are uncommon and not seen in mainstream music magazines or mainstream music channels. with the front cover, i thought the mastheads font for "alternative sound" didn't really scream alternative music, so i also experimented with some fonts to find which one i thoughtful well with the genres of music my magazine is based on.  Sub images of M shadows ( front man from avenged sevenfold ) and corey taylor (front man of slipknot and stone sour) was also placed near the skyline as it is about both of them bands. this is to help set the mood , the excitement bases on the information given.

with changing the front cover's color scheme, i also had to change the double page spread as i wanted a consistent color scheme that flows well throughout my magazine. i also moved the colors around a bit to give myself room to add more images so help set that respectible and tribute -vibe on the left page
